While we were in L.A. (Lower Alabama, that is. Honestly, I crack myself up every time I call it that!), Blair kept telling us that she wanted to go to the cat pool. Of course, we were like, “What is she talking about?” I know, a mother is always supposed to know what her child is talking about, but, for the life of me, I was at a loss with this one.
So, for days, whenever she would point to the kiddie pool at the condo, she would say that she wanted to go to that cat pool. Well, as it turned out, we {everyone else but her} were calling it that without even knowing it. We would say kiddie (k-i-d-d-i-e), and she heard kiddie (k-i-t-t-y).
In my little darling’s head, there must have been all kinds of confusion. I mean, honestly, why would we call it a kitty pool? There were clearly no cats swimming in it! How funny is that?!!
I hope the memory of this vacation never fades… because I’m sure moments like those will be fewer and farther between as my little darlings grow up. It is just so fun living in these very moments while they are so young.
