When I found out that my good friend and running partner was competing in the IronMan competition, I really wanted to get my whole family ready to experience the buzz and excitement that goes along with the event.
As part of the IronMan festivities, there was a 1 mile Fun Run called IronKids that took place the day before the IronMan, and with our boys being the runners that they are, they were excited to participate in this.
There is just something so wonderful about the excitement one feels after having earned a medal and, of course, the title of IronKid!
My hope is that one day our children will remember the excitement of cheering on those amazing endurance athletes and will want to join the ranks of those few who can call themselves an IronMan!
