Her Leg Caught a Little Virus

She looks perfectly healthy, but her virus, that is the one that her right leg has, is moving swiftly across the ole’ world wide web.
{hahaha, right?}

This little photoshopped masterpiece is my favorite. You can see more of the ubiquitous leg {seriously, it was even at the Last Supper and on Whistler’s Mother!} here at E! Online.

Interesting… YES!

I heard a fashion editor this morning say that if you didn’t understand this dress then you don’t understand fashion. She also said that the actress wasn’t wearing this dress in order to be pretty, but rather to be interesting. Well, Rooney Mara absolutely achieved her goal, in my opinion.
I just didn’t see this as a moment of pure glamour for her. She is a beautiful woman who walked the red carpet in just an “interesting” way.
If you had the chance to walk the red carpet, would you rather be the most gorgeous you have ever looked, second only to your wedding day, or be interesting?

Dancing the Tangerine Tango

I realize we’re almost into March; so, this is a little overdue. However, because I am obsessed with colors, we’ve got to talk about the Pantone 2012 Color of the Year..
It’s Tangerine Tango!
It’s bright, vibrant, fun, and energetic.
It’s elicits the feelings we need for 2012.
The color brings out happiness and makes you smile.
Honestly, it’s hard to wear a frown when you’re dressed in such a fun, bright hue!

So, grab you some inspiration from the runways, and go get your Tangerine Tango on!

Potty training is NOT going well. One would think a mother of three would be seasoned, having already potty-trained two boys, and not blatantly announce like a complete fool, “We’re potty-training Blair this weekend… no more diapers for us! Yay!”
It was the statement that instantly set us up for failure. I was naïve in even thinking that I could control her bathroom activities. Who was I to tell her when she would pee on the potty? Apparently, I was completely wrong… so much so, that she said to me, “I not ready to pee in the potty.” She’s articulate, my little two-year-old, and evidently in control when it comes to the bathroom. I’ve learned my lesson and my match in my darling daughter. I guess we’ll do this on her terms.
Are girls that much different when it comes this?
I’m betting this is just the tip of the iceberg…

Stayin’ Alive…
The ‘70s were a glorious time.
I’m speaking not from experience because I wasn’t alive during them, but from what I imagine them to have been like when I look at this photo of my parents.
I imagine that everyone looked fabulous everyday and strutted down the streets to that ubiquitous tune from a famous John Travolta movie.
I imagine that the women all looked like Twiggy, and the men had a certain swagger about them.
I imagine that their days were filled with fun and laughter, and their nights were filled with dancing.
My parents were the quintessential 1970’s poster couple in their hayday.
From the split-sleeved silk dress to the handlebar mustache, they couldn’t be any cuter!

Why Not Use a Tub?

Love this.
Pure ingenuity.
When Amsterdam’s canals froze, people took to the the ice with whatever they could come up with… a baby tub mounted on skis!

Our Valentines!
Here’s a look at the Valentines my younger son is giving out.
It’s just a store-bought cookie in a cellophane bag tied with twine {my favorite thing in the whole world!}, and this darling little label made it so much easier because he didn’t have to write anything! I made it with the coolest software my parents got me for Christmas called Scrapbook Factory Deluxe and printed them on Avery circle labels with my HP Envy printer I received from them, too!
{The font is a “pea” font from Kevin and Amanda.}
My parents give the best gifts!
These darling paper Heartbreaker Valentines came from Dana at Made.
You just tear them to get the secret candy that’s inside!
I think Grant’s classmates will think they’re pretty cool.
This super cute candy bar wrapper came from Jeanne Winter’s blog.
My hubby will love it ‘cause he’s “da man”!
Well, those are what we’re giving out today. Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
What are you giving out?

The Most Perfect Treat
I heard Jerry Seinfeld say one time that his favorite treat was this--
peanut butter and honey on a whole bagel.
I am in complete agreement. This treat is as delicious as it is easy to prepare. So, go ahead and try it, and why not put a Coke with it, too… hehe :)
